Tantrum House just got a mention on Feedspot this week, recognized as one of the "Top 45 Board Game Youtube Channels to Follow in 2021". Feedspot has a team of more than 25 experts whose job is to discover and rank popular blogs, podcasts and youtube channels. "With millions of blogs on the web, finding influential bloggers in a niche industry is a hard problem to address".
We're glad they found us! And hopefully many more hobbyists will discover Tantrum House as a result! You can check out the spot here: https://blog.feedspot.com/board_games_youtube_channels/ PsydekickLarry: Hey Kevin! Let’s do the interview. Where are you from?
Kevin: Earth… PsydekickLarry: Ok… and how long have you lived in Greenville? Kevin: More than 131,000 hours PsydekickLarry: Interesting… Give us 2 truths and a lie about yourself? Kevin: Idabble in the art of prestidigitation. I dabble in the art of airigami. I dabble in the art of geocaching. PsydekickLarry: What got you into the board gaming hobby? Kevin: So many people - family while I was growing up. Melissa and I played a lot of games together when we dated and then our friends the Vailliencourts introduced us into the world of modern board gaming. PsydekickLarry: What do you love the most about board gaming? Kevin: All the new games that come out every year. PsydekickLarry: What is your favorite board game and/or board game genre? Kevin: Lewis and Clark is my favorite game — there are so many great board game mechanics in it and has art from my favorite illustrator, Vincent Dutrait. PsydekickLarry: How did you get involved with Tantrum House? Kevin: Back in 2014 I begged Will to let me join. Finally in early 2015 he said I could jump on board. PsydekickLarry: At Tantrum House you tend to do a lot of the communication with game publishers. What all goes into that and how do you build new relationships? Kevin: Lots and lots of emails. Lots and lots. A lot of our new relationships come from participating in board game conventions, getting to meet publishers on the floor or at special media events. Hopefully we will have those again soon! PsydekickLarry: What is your favorite drink and snack while playing board games? Kevin: Cream Soda and chocolate dipped pretzels for the win! PsydekickLarry: What RPG race and class best describes you? (Human not allowed) Kevin: Why did you give me a Rocket Propelled Grenade? PsydekickLarry: Huh!? We’ll let the fans help you out. Oh wait! I almost forgot. What’s the story behind the hat?? Kevin: I started wearing the hat early on in our videos. Now it is easily recognizable at conventions and other places, so now I can't take it off!
