Today we unbox The Big Book of Magic from Iello. Super fantastic artwork and a couple of unique components. Can't wait to give it a play through!
Steam Time, from Kosmos, is a steampunk + time travel themed worker placement game. In the game players try to pimp out their airships using crystals they've collected. The crystals can be used as resources, or to power their ship, improving the rewards they gather when performing different actions on the board. Steam Time has a lot going on, some constantly moving parts, and it plays quickly while offering lots of great choices.
Star Wars Destiny is a collectable card and dice game from Fantasy Flight games. It features characters from the new Star Wars movies and pits them against each other in a battle to the death (or to the end of your deck). The cards feature weapons, vehicles and other characters from the universe. It's incredibly easy to learn to play, and the dice add a nice random but still strategic element to the game. Star Wars Destiny has the potential to grow into something epic if the right cards are added to the game!
Inis is a Celtic themed board game full of unique history and lore. In it players compete as chieftains striving to become King. It features several different mechanics from card drafting, to area control, to character clashes, and offers multiple routes to victory. Check our review for the full rundown.
